HOMMAGE A PICASSO, 1961, 13”x19”, on linen, note that this was just a 4 day show. Extremely rare lithograph. Printer is “Union,Paris”$550.

YURI GARGARINE, 20”X24” 1961, on off-white textured watercolor paper. Printer is “EDITIONS CERCLE D’ART,PARIS”. This litho is called “ETUDE POUR GARGRINE”, The face of the first man into space incorporated into the lines of the Picasso dove. Signed in the plate, upper right, with the name of the spaceman in the lower center. The background is light brown. With the cold war and the space race, the litho was never marketed in the USA. This is the only one I have ever seen. A very rare piece of space memorabilia and by Picasso. $650.
